At Chelmsford Wasp Control, our team of technicians have a good working relationship with local residents and business owners, and a long history of successful exterminations throughout the area. We have offices all over London, and a breadth of resources that smaller operators can't match.
This allows us to maintain an all-week phone-line to receive queries and give quotes to customers as soon as possible, and we do everything we can to minimise the time period between finding a wasp infestation and having it dealt with. We also offer a free consultation service, determining the size and nature of your wasp problem and giving you all the details before you need to take any action.
Wasp nests can set up almost anywhere on a property, many of them appearing on roofs, in loft-spaces, or on trees, although there is practically nowhere where hives have not been found, and often they can form inside of vehicles or in empty containers, as their only requirement is an empty space and a degree of shelter.
Hives can contain thousands of wasps, and while this may not be evident at first when you only see a few around your property, the nest itself will always be packed full of an immensely large number of the insects. A nest the size of a football can hold 5000 wasps on its own, and our technicians have dealt with nests many times larger than that.
It is often difficult for a property-owner to realise the scale of their infestation, as these nests will often be partially concealed and thus difficult to assess for anyone without professional training. However, wasps will often leave their nests in large numbers when they feel that a person is encroaching on their space, and these swarms can sting many, many times until the aggressor is driven away, and it is often after these incidents that we receive calls from customers asking for immediate help.
Due to the pressing nature of wasp infestations, we try to make our treatment as swift and direct as possible. Our technicians will generally use a high-intensity insecticidal compound that is deadly to wasps, spraying it in dust form into the hive itself, where it will rapidly eliminate the wasps inside.
Once the hive has been treated, the wasps will either be killed by the insecticide, or they will otherwise die within a day or so, as they are unable to function properly once their hive has been compromised. Without the shelter of the nest and without the presence of their queen, any wasps that were outside the hive at the time of the treatment are unable to survive for long, meaning that while our treatment is intense and localised, it is able to affect the entire wasp population rapidly and without any extra procedures.
